Possibly the main character of my graphic novel. Not sure yet. He might need some more distinguishing elements. I will have to draw him in more light and decide.
The blue light is representative of his telekinetic abilities. I figured the reader needed an image so they would know when his powers are being used. Comments

Critiques
Again, the quality of your work is very good. Love the textures. Wasn't sure I liked him until I saw him in big format with the textures and light changes, then decided I really did.
Not too thrilled with his mouth--like you said, maybe need to make him a little more distinctive in that area. The beard isn't appealing to me--doesn't really make me feel one way or another, but sorta dulls the impression. But I love the telekinetic-eye-glow thing (maybe you should sell makeup that does that..jk). His hair is just kinda there. Maybe another aspect you could punch up? But then again...I don't know his character. Maybe he is very boring until his powers come out??
He has power, though. His hands convey a lot of energy and emotion and he seems alive to me--someone whose story I would be interested in knowing. I say continue on with him. His character will come out more and more.
Look forward to seeing him in more light. : )
